Ombudsman Real Estate IVD/VfB – Duty to provide information according to Section 36 VSBG

The German Real Estate Association (IVD e.V.), with the participation of the consumer association Verband privater Bauherren e.V. (VPB), has established an arbitration board in accordance with the Consumer Dispute Settlement Act (VSBG). Disputes between consumers and IVD members, among others, can be settled before the arbitration board through out-of-court arbitration proceedings.

The (Company IVD Member) is a member of the IVD and, according to the IVD's statutes, is obligated to submit a written statement to the ombudsman's office if the latter initiates proceedings. The (Company IVD Member) does not generally participate in arbitration proceedings before other arbitration bodies.
